Trivago: A compare-engine score, pulled from every OTA you’re listed on.

Trivago doesn’t collect its own reviews — it’s a compare engine that blends ratings pulled from Booking.com, Expedia and other OTAs into one score. Locivo tracks that aggregate number alongside your direct Google rating, for every property.

What Locivo does on Trivago

Monitoring, built in

  • Aggregated-rating tracking

Trivago’s score is pulled from Booking.com, Expedia and other OTAs, not an independent review pool. Locivo tracks that aggregate alongside your direct Google rating so you can see where the two diverge.

  • Portfolio rollup

Roll up Trivago performance across a multi-property hotel group, filtered by region or brand.

  • One dashboard for every booking platform

See Trivago next to Google, Kayak and every other platform your properties are listed on.

A score you cannot influence directly

Trivago does not collect reviews. It blends ratings from the OTAs a property is listed on, which means the number shown is a consequence of work done elsewhere — on Booking.com, Expedia and the rest.

There is nothing to reply to and no review pool to grow. The way the Trivago score improves is by improving the underlying OTA ratings that feed it, which makes it a useful summary measure rather than a channel to manage.

What a divergence tells you

The useful signal is the gap between the aggregate and your direct Google rating. When Trivago sits well below Google, the problem is usually concentrated in one OTA or in the segment that books through them, not in the hotel generally.

That points you somewhere specific. Guests arriving on a discounted OTA rate often receive the least desirable rooms, and the rating gap is frequently measuring that allocation rather than the property.

Yes. Group properties under one dashboard, filter by region or brand, and see Trivago’s aggregate rating and review count across your whole portfolio.

Not yet — and Trivago doesn’t take its own reviews either, since it aggregates ratings from the OTAs where you’re listed. Locivo tracks that combined score alongside Google.

Trivago shows travellers one blended score before they click through to an OTA to book — because that score is sourced from multiple sites, a rating problem on just one OTA can quietly drag down what shoppers see first.
