Review Request Message Templates
A good review request is two or three sentences: thank the customer by name, say specifically that a review helps, and include a direct link to the Google review form. Send it within a day of the visit, while the experience is fresh. Short messages on SMS or WhatsApp usually get a faster response than email, which suits a slightly longer note.

Templates you can adapt
- SMS: "Hi [Name], thanks for visiting [Business] today! If you have a minute, a quick review really helps us: [link]"
- WhatsApp: "Hi [Name], it was great having you at [Business]. Would you mind sharing how it went? It takes under a minute: [link]"
- Email subject: "How was your visit to [Business]?" Body: thank them, mention the specific service, and add one clear button linking to the review form.
- Follow-up (once, 3-5 days later): "Just a gentle reminder in case you missed our note — your feedback helps other customers find us: [link]"
- In person: "If you enjoyed it, we would love a Google review — here is a QR code."
Common mistakes
- Asking for a "5-star review" — Google discourages incentivised or steered reviews.
- Sending the request days or weeks after the visit.
- Linking to a search page rather than the review form.
- Sending more than one reminder.
